Linkle Could Appear in Future Zelda Games

According to Aonuma, its a possibility for Linkle to appear in future Zelda titles outside of Hyrule Warriors. When asked what implications Linkle could have in the series, he replied:

“I'm sure we will keep her in mind when thinking about future titles... It may feel a little different from other titles in the franchise, but she doesn’t feel out of place at all in the world of the Zelda games."

What do you think of this possibility? Would you like to see Linkle in a future Zelda game or even star in her own title?

Final Fantasy VII Battle Theme (Super Smash Bros. Fan Arrangement)

ThePokéMixr92 is a YouTuber who posts fan-arrangements of musical scores from video games. As his username suggests, he does a lot of Pokemon arrangements.

However, his latest release is what he thinks the FFVII Battle Theme could sound like in Super Smash Bros. I must say, this remix is absolutely amazing. He did a great job.

I definitely hope we get a few good remixes of some Final Fantasy songs when the Cloud DLC hits. What songs would you like to hear in the game and which ones would you like to here remixes of?

CyberConnect 2 is Developing Final Fantasy VII Remake

A new Famitsu interview with Tetsuya Nomura and Yoshinori Kitase has revealed that CyberConnect 2 will be assisting in the development of the Final Fantasy VII Remake.
CyberConnect 2 is known for working on previous titles such as .hack, Naruto and Square Enix’s own Final Fantasy VII G-Bike.

FFVII Remake Will Be an Episodic Release

This news will surely stir up mixed reactions. A press release was sent out today, basically confirming that the Final Fantasy VII Remake will be broken up into episodes. Here is the quote from the press release:

LOS ANGELES (Dec. 6, 2015) - During this past weekend’s PlayStation Experience in San Francisco, SQUARE ENIX® debuted a new trailer for FINAL FANTASY® VII REMAKE, the full remake of the award-winning role-playing game, FINAL FANTASY VII. The new trailer features the first CG scenes as well as gameplay footage. FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE will be told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience.

And that's all the news we have on the matter. We don't know how the length of the episodes, how many there will be, or how much time will pass between their releases .

I'm not quite sure how I feel about this yet. Some are saying that Square Enix might be going the episodic route for data reasons.

Big Nintendo Announcement on Monday

Damon Baker from Nintendo of America was a guest on today's podcast over at Nintendo World Report. During the interview he said something very interesting:

"Speaking of announcements, I wish I could tell you guys, but stay tuned for Monday. Monday there's going to be something... something happening on Monday. It's going to be big."

That quote makes for quite a lot of hype if you ask me. Some think it could be a reveal of the date for the Smash Bros. Direct. I personally don't think that would be big enough news. We already know its coming sometime this month. I can't imagine they would tease the announcement of the date as "something big."

We already know that we won't be receiving any Nintendo NX related announcements until 2016, so what do you think it could be? Perhaps a proper Zelda Wii U trailer?
