Master Cycle Coming to Mario Kart 8 in First DLC Pack

Nintendo has just announced that the 'Master Cycle' will be arriving to Mario Kart 8 via The Legend of Zelda x Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack, which will release next month. The Master Cycle will give bike-users a much-needed boost on the track.

The first DLC pack coming to Mario Kart 8 contains 2 new cups (8 courses), three characters (Link, Tanooki Mario, and Cat Peach), and four new vehicles, one being the Master Cycle. Check out the image below for a closer look at Animal Crossing's Villager and Isabelle, whom will be arriving in the second DLC Pack due to release in May 2015.

Alternate Costumes DLC for Super Smash Bros. 4

super smash bros alternate costumes project m skins palette swap mr. l

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS has been out for just about a week now here in North America. Playing this game has no doubt been a delight. It really has transferred over well to the portable system. One thing I really like is how they've expanded on the simple palette swap and made actual alternate costumes.

However, I believe there's a lot of room for improvement in this area. For instance, what were they thinking with Little Mac? All characters have 8 alternate skins/costumes. But Little Mac has a whopping 16 alternates. It seemed like they just tried to throw in every possible combination for him. Some characters like the Villager were great in this area. Each alternate costume for the Villager was completely unique and a good tribute to the Animal Crossing series. Then, there's other characters who have nothing but simple skin swaps, such as Donkey Kong and Bowser.

My hope is that they can fix this with some DLC. They could do a lot of great things with this. Just imagine, playing as these characters via alternate costumes after the break:

Hyrule Warriors 'Master Quest' DLC Includes Majora's Mask Costumes

Hyrule Warriors' first DLC pack hit Japan just this week and it appears that in edition to Epona and an extra scenario, it also includes some new costumes.

The DLC includes costumes inspired from the characters of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Darunia has received a costume that resembles Darmani’s Ghost from the N64 title, and Ruto can now wear an outfit resembling Lulu from the band The Indigo-Go’s.

There's also "gothic" Agitha, maskless Zant, and purple Link. And as if that wasn't enough to satisfy fans, they've also included a Zelda costume that resembles Hilda from The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds!

You can check out some of the new costumes after the break.
